Priority Bags

Nice to see the Priority Bag tags are here, will be interesting to see how they work tonight!

When they actually tag your bag it works really well! Mine wasn't tagged on my first flight and it took ages to come out. On the return leg it was tagged and was one of the first few out!

Mine two were the first off the belt in TSV, which was cool given my travelling partners were on QF and holding a taxi queue position for me!

I don't know about others but I am finding it hit and miss. Just flew into OOL from AKL and my bag eventually came out halfway through the pack, complete with its priority tag. I actually saw one other priority tag, only out a few before mine. I then ended up on the end of a very long queue to get out of the terminal and was very late for an appointment. What's others experiences ? Usually, good going out of OOL to SYD, MLB though.

Works fine for us -- first out.

To/from NZ it worked very well for us. (DJ flight operated by Air NZ)

Internal was not really an issue on the Dash 8 so who really knows.

Worked for me yesterday and last week. Bags beat me to the carousel off a full 738 :shock:

Still rarely works for me in either direction on the weekly SYD/MEL run. Works less than half the time.

Mine has been pretty hit and miss as well. When it works however it is really good.

I normally only travel with carry on baggage but have checked in bags three times recently. On the first from OOL - SYD, my bags were tagged priority but were the second last off the belt. I kept an eye on the other bags and only the one just before mine had priority tags. The same thing happened on the second occasion which was again OOL - SYD. It was third time lucky however. It was a SYD - OOL flight and we disembarked from Gate 3. I was about the third person off the aircraft and by the time I reached the belt my bag was coming out. This was really good because from gate 3 at OOL it is just a short straight walk out towards the baggage belts.

Can we put it down to certain airports working? I've only checked baggage 5 times, but they've always been in the first 10. OOL,SYD & MEL worked fine for me.

I was thinking the same thing. I guess it will just take a little while for it to settle down. When it works it is really fantastic, its just a matter of making sure that it works at all airports consistently.

Miss today arriving in BNE. Correctly tagged in NTL but one of the last bags to come out. Luckily wasn't in a hurry, have six hours to kill until my international flight...
