I see for "Qantas Club Members Priority Check-In" has vanished @ PER Domestic terminal, since the New Generation Check-In has been commissioned.... It will disappear around Australia as from Feb2011 as the New Generation Check-In is rolled out nationally..........
It will still be available @ ALL International terminals..........
I personally have no trouble using Business,Plat,Gold Dedicated Priority Check-In...Maybe its my life QC membership I purchased back in the late 90s HMMMM, don't know !!!!!

PS... Don't get me wrong, I've used the New Generation Check-In @ PER, I found it to be very good.....

QP members will be loving the economy bag drop lines from Feb, when they cannot use the current priority lines including SG/WP.

As I suspected and as sambo517's post seems to have confirmed, QP Members will be accepted at the premium service desk in NGCI ports until Feb 2011.

After that, we join the 'rabble' again - at least until some rich person I hardly know leaves me enough cash in their will so I can travel the world in F/J, rack up 13k SC's and never see a PS/NB/cattle queue again.

Dreams are free.

But still, NGCI seems better, faster on average then even the old priority checkin (which was usually pretty good, but not unknown for a bit of a wait there) - so what's to complain about?

I'll let you know after I use it (with some trepidation) for the first time ever on Friday. ;)

I'm on the Qantas feedback panel and I got a newsletter from them on Monday regarding how they were acting on the feedback which included this info:

[h=5]Access to the PremiumService Desk[/h][FONT=&quot]We have also received a large number of comments around theremoval of the dedicated Qantas Club check-in queue. Although our Faster,Smarter Check-in options will remain the quickest and easiest way to check-in,should you have any specific requirements, from 17 October 2011, Qantas Clubmembers and Silver Frequent Flyers will be able to use the Premium Service deskat our domestic airports.

My recent experience is that using the self service checkin at Perth, especially with Q Tags is way faster that using the priority service Q and getting served by a human.
