Hadn't noticed this before:

(vii) Points expiry:

Until 31 October 2012: For points to remain active, the Member (be they an Individual Member, Company Employee Member or Company Entity Member) must have a points earning activity in the prior 36 months. As such, if there is no activity for a period of 36 months, then any points earned more than 36 months previously will expire.
From 1 November 2012: For Reward Points to remain active and available for future redemption, the Member (be they an Individual Member, Company Employee Member or Company Entity Member) must have a Reward Points earning activity in the prior 18 months. If a Member has not had any Reward Points earning activity over an 18 month period (Non-Active Period), then all Reward Points earned by such Member at any time before the end of the Non-Active Period will automatically expire. Furthermore, regardless of a Member’s Reward Points earning activity, any Reward Points that have not been utilised 36 months after they were earned by a Member will automatically expire.

Does anyone recall being told in 2012 that a 18 month expiry (and hard 36 month expiry) was being introduced? Might have been changed when they revamped the scheme...

No I don't remember seeing this, interesting. Must remember this now I'm no longer getting any TopGuest points to top this up, a survey or similar would be good!

I didn't know TopGuest ever gav e points to Priority Guest.

Sorry to bump this thread - but have a two night stay that I am booking - have no knowledge of PGR, however they have a promotion at present for JOIN, STAY and get a NIGHT free - JOIN, STAY, GET A NIGHT FREE - Priority Guest Rewards - so I am assuming that most Rydges are the same and will probably just use the free night at the Brisbane southbank location. I don't do hotels that often so the free night expires at the end of December 2013 and I doubt I will earn more nighta to make this one worth keeping.

Ok, their website (a shambles like usual) has two different point expiry clauses now

From the FAQ:
From 1 November 2012: For Reward Points to remain active and available for future redemption, the Member (be they an Individual Member, or a Company Employee Member or Company Entity Member enrolled prior to 01 May 2013) must have a Reward Points earning activity in the prior 12 months. If a Member has not had any Reward Points earning activity over a 12 month period (Non-Active Period), then all Reward Points earned by such Member at any time before the end of the Non-Active Period will automatically expire.

From the T&C:
From 1 November 2012: For Reward Points to remain active and available for future redemption, the Member (be they an Individual Member, Company Employee Member or Company Entity Member) must have a Reward Points earning activity in the prior 18 months. If a Member has not had any Reward Points earning activity over an 18 month period (Non-Active Period), then all Reward Points earned by such Member at any time before the end of the Non-Active Period will automatically expire.

... I would assume the T&C would over-rule a FAQ ... but you never do know!
