Just thought I might add a data point for PP in PNG.

Holiday Inn had no idea about the card and would not honour any discounts. Admittedly, PNG is not listed as an accepting country, but as Australias closest neighbour, I thought they would accept it, or at least recognise the card.

Hopefully I'll try the CP as well, but for now it's a no go.

HI express is taking shape and it looks quite nice. They told me mid year is the expected opening.

Not much to write home to mum about ........ Supplied some major mech. services plant for the project it should of taken one (1) week tops to commission , ....... it took three (3) weeks ........... pretty standard PNG S.O.P. we have learnt to factor that into PNG offers over the years ! Only major project that ever ran on time was the recent South Pacific Brewery significant upgrade ..........

I should have taken a few photos. That artist impression is so much cough. The building looks better (IMHO) but it seems to leave out the slums that surrounds it! That is not a derogatory comment BTW, just fact. On an upside, the fence opposite has some nice artwork and bilums for sale..........They also have left out of that picture the guard patrolled gates and razor wired enclosure........I wonder why ?

Yes, I do smile at the number of cars with those on them. PNG sort of works by the adage "an eye for an eye" except they seem to change it somewhat to "a corpse for an eye" :shock:
