:confused:Caught in a weak moment I bought into this program for the Intercontinental/Holiday Inn etc. It is supposed to give great deals and be an adjunct to the ordinary Priority Club for a one off fee of about $270. I am having enormous difficulty in getting them to reply to the simplest query, absolutely useless on the phone and they don't answer emails.
Priority Club is fine, I've had some great deals from them.
Has anyone else had this experience?

You might want to post questions here as an alternative, there are quite a few of us that use it!

As markis10 has indicated there are people on this board that use the card and may be able to help you, depending on the nature of your question. The people you can get on the phone are in my experience the sales force!

Also, the fee is an annual fee, rather than a one-off fee.

Thanks for the replies. I did actually realise it was a one off thanks marcus 10, there won't be a renewal I can tell you!
I have gone through the pp website but they just don't answer my emails at all, it's so frustrating.
I am having trouble defining which is "the best flexible rate" to use on my 2 for 1 stays. I can get lower prices if I just log in and try to book as a Priority Gold member than they will give me on pp.
If I don't get an answer by Tuesday I think I'll give up. Just want to get somewhere with in driving distance, easy and relaxing after a hard few months hopping on and off long distance flights.

I would have thought that "the best flexible rate" would be as defined fron the Intercontinental (Priority Club) web site.

The two for 1 are only bookable on the PP website, the rate is not always available but at the same time its often bookable without using the certificate, so you can get up to 4 or 6 nights a year for free - in that context its not bad value!

Go to Priority Privilege's website and just choose which rate you would like and your PP discount is immediately applied.
Welcome to Priority Privilege

Simple!
It's a great program and has saved me $$$

Same here, in a moment of weakness (or foolishness?) hubby said I could join the Priority Privilege membership - after he received a phone call from the salesman and told the salesman to phone me for the final decision.

I went to their website and it advertised 10% off, but the salesman would not agree to give me 10%, instead he charged me the full $279 for the year. He said because he gave me 2 extra vouchers (transferable) to be used by relatives / friends for the 50% off dining.

I have not tried to book the 2 free nights yet - we wanted to save them for use in 2009. When I agreed to provide my credit card details for the fee, the salesman gave me a member service phone number which is 1800 801 646 and a reservation number which is 1300 728 851.

I hope we will be able to make some use out of the program - maybe dining at the Intercontinental Hotel in Sydney from time to time (member free whenever dining with guests).

And remeber its 10% off the best publically available rates which includes advance purchase, when you try and book on hte phone they only give you the best flexible price and often not the cheapest room category!

Markis
You got it in one! This is exactly what is happening to me. I was beginning to think it was only me misunderstanding.
It's also interesting that you mentioned the phone number is answered by Sales people which explains a lot.
Thanks everyone for your replies, I really appreciate it.

busissi :)

Check the public rates online, then check the PP website, if they are not 10% off the best public rates, then give the phone number a call, I have had not issues with getting 10% off honoured!

That's exactly what I have done, called, got nowhere, then emailed the actual rates to them. Zilch!
appreciate all the advice, I think you've been through this before Markis10!

Could you give an example of one hotel and the two days you were trying to use the BOGO for. If the BOGO rate has been available, it has always worked out for me.

(10% things are a different matter!)
