Hi, my wife and I will be in KL between Christmas and New Year.

We will be travelling with another couple who have a preference to getting a private car from the Airport into the City.

Whilst my wife and I are comfortable in catching the public transport into the city our friends are not.

Has anyone organised for a private car t/f before or should I just contact the Intercontinental Hotel directly?

Thanks,

WBJ

On arrival you could go to the counter for private cars traveling into the city. Check out the website at KLIA. More expensive than a taxi but they drive a little more carefully and you would not be ditched anywhere just in case there is a jam up ahead!

All the major hotel brands in KUL have hotel cars. They will meet you on arrival as long as you have advised them of flight time and details and will be charged to your room, however at double the cost of what getting a private car at the airport itself will get you.

There is only one taxi/limo company that operate from KLIA Airport Limo (M) Sdn Bhd - KLIA Airport Transfer

Generally they have bigger cars and much better service than the taxis you get in the city. They do over a range of different vehicles, from budget to luxury. I have taken them all never had any trouble. The luxury car they had when I took them was a Mercedes E250 class, was very nice, in good condition and a pleasant driver. It had plenty of room so would be good for 4 adults.

There are a set of desks just after customs, but before public area, where you can get a coupon for the taxi or limo.

You could organise a car from the hotel but it will likely be more expensive.
