Is anyone else having problems accessing qantas.com today?
I usually login 2 or 3 times a day, but have had lots of trouble this weekend.

When I enter qantas.com in my browser I currently get redirected to

http://www.qantas.com.au/australia.html

which it then says it can't find??

I have tried on my laptop with two different ISPs (iinet and Telstra) and other computers in our home (just using iinet).

Sometimes I successfully get the expected home page (after about 3 minutes) and other times I have also seen some internal errors relating to gateway timeouts.

Has anyone else had similar problems?

Cheers,
Paul

That link does not work for me; when I enter 'qantas.com' I get redirected to Qantas Homepage

Other than that try www.qantas.com.au

start > run > cmd /k tracert www.qantas.com.au ... see what path its trying to take, although probably not a overly huge help due to the huge cluster the site gets served off.. at least worth looking at, though.

It seems I don't have any difficulty getting to qantas.com or qantas.com.au but there are some redirects that I'm having trouble with after the first page is fetched.

For example: Resolving www.qantas.com.au... 125.252.202.110

For example, I just got the following:

Service Unavailable - Zero size object

The server is temporarily unable to service your request. Please try again later.

I'm going to guess that there's an edge server playing up somewhere

dnsstuff.com says the following: (so what is an edge server)

How I am searching:
Searching for www.qantas.com.au A record at c.root-servers.net [192.33.4.12]: Got referral to AUDNS.OPTUS.NET. (zone: au.) [took 25 ms]
Searching for www.qantas.com.au A record at AUDNS.OPTUS.NET. [211.29.133.32]: Got referral to dns2.qantas.com.au. (zone: qantas.com.au.) [took 183 ms]
Searching for www.qantas.com.au A record at dns2.qantas.com.au. [139.163.85.247]: Got CNAME of www.qantas.com.au.edgekey.net. and referral to i.root-servers.net [took 337 ms]

Response:

NOTE: One or more CNAMEs were encountered. www.qantas.com.au is really e566.b.akamaiedge.net. [www.qantas.com.au->www.qantas.com.au.edgekey.net->e566.b.akamaiedge.net]
