Problems with the AmericanAirlines.com.au Website

I am going to the states in a couple of days and need to book the transfers and a couple of tours.

I always book through the activities section under planned travel on the americanairlines.com.au website as I can pay in AUD and I also receive 1 point per AUD spend.

I have not been able to access this for days

I rang AA but have been given the run around from Call Centre in the US to the Web services in India

Can someone please check and let me know its not me

Also who to call to have this sort when I sort a quote earlier last week it was 30% cheaper than booking direct for transfer

I accessed it last Friday but the flights I wanted were a little bit more than double the US site.
Just tried now and no problems accessing it.

Was that flights or activities ?

No problems with flights but still issues with activities (transfers, cars and hotels)

Hi all, planning next trip to the US in July.
Can we no longer book through the AA US website? Changing credit card country to AUS sends me to the Australian AA site, with the much higher prices. Anyone had luck using Paypal, despite not being US based?

I have just booked my internal US flights on the US site.I had to tell a little white lie by not changing my country from the US to Australia but it still directed me back to the AU site when I put my CC info in.So all I did was use my address but put my postcode as 04551 which is a village in Maine.I had to select maine as my state but Amex still accepted the payment.
Just google US zipcodes,put a 0 in front of your postcode and check that it is a valid zipcode.

I use 0 in front of Australia postcode as well leaving the country as US - (valid location in MA)

Unfortunately my card billing postcode (4151) doesn't map to a US ZIP - I wonder if they match the entered five-digit number with the card billing code? I'll give it a go and see....

i had booked on aa.com a couple years back and didnt have a problem, but when just went to do it had the same issue noted above.

Im not sure about if there are any potential ramifications if using a false address with US internal flights? though having said that Im not exactly sure how I did it last time if I used a false address or it wasn't an issue.

They have updated the site's coding and it appears to try to use geolocation via IP to determine things rather than what you input.

Private browsing along with a tool to pretend my location is the USA can help.

So when using that method you need to use a US billing addresses? Does that have a potential risk of the TSA getting narky with using incorrect address information?

I used the 'el Segundo" method last time (march) for a US domestic flight reservation on the US AA.com site.

Generally no human ever reads the address you put on an an online e-ticket booking.

I ended up booking through Expedia.com and got the aa.com price using correct AU address and CC
