Just wanted to know what needs to be done when someone accepts my offer of a guest entry to lounge? Do I text them or do we arrange to meet at a certain time? What if I'm standing waiting for the guestee? etc etc.
Never done this before and it's my grown up kids who will be guesting into QF Int J lounge in 2 weeks or so.
Advice appreciated

You arrange it however you feel is appropriate.

Examples:
  • You arrive at the same time, so you meet outside the lounge or at a location in the terminal.
  • You arrive at different times so you swap contact details and have the guestee contact you when they arrive, then you just walk to the front of the lounge and tell the desk "this is my guest"... they've seen it all before.

... Or get them to page you in the lounge once they arrive! :P :D That's what I'm doing tomorrow

A number of different ways.

Generally swap phone numbers via PM and arrange to meet the best way for that particular situation.

Duffa, the first time I guested someone I had the same questions, meeting strangers off the internet didn't come naturally...... But as everyone else has mentioned each time has been different to suit the situation from PMing one another's phone numbers to meeting at a set time to sending a PM on arrival and going out to meet.

I can say that I have enjoyed meeting other AFFers through the guesting / lounge meets I have had thus far.
