Pullman Grand Quay

So for an upcoming trip to Sydney I thought I would treat ourselves to the Pullman Grand Quay, however reading reviews It gives a bit of a bad rap. Has anyone recently stayed here and what is your honest opinion. Booked a one bedroom harbour view apartment at ~ $600 pn

Stayed there in January and have another one nighter booked for August. You're paying for location above everything else and for that it's worth it, especially the harbour view rooms. The location does make it a bit noisy so if you're a light sleeper take this into consideration. Overall the experience feels more like an upmarket Quest property rather than a 5 star hotel. We ordered some late night room service (10pm) and it was clear that the night manager was doing everything else, even possibly the food prep. The result was pretty average food. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel. The staff were keen to help and make sure guests were happy, but they seemed stretched at all times.

Edited to add - our room was clean and the beds were very comfortable, even the sofa bed.
