There's been some pretty lively commentary here on AFF around the pros and cons of wearing pyjamas on a plane, personally I'm all for it. Don't know where the author of the linked article finds his expert opinions but I do hope there was no money paid.

As for the rest of the article, certainly things like clipping toenails or feet on the seat in front are pretty gross. The hair rollers would just make me laugh.

Saw an All Blacks supporters group once head off from Auckland to UK, about 100 of them, all wearing AB onsies as they boarded the plane. Thought they looked fantastic

My flight PJS are basic black pants and a tshirt and I begrudged having to get out of them after long haul for a 2hr transit to only get back into them. Seriously thought about staying in them while changing gates.

I'm amused with the concept of an Airline Etiquette Expert. I wonder if they have ever been on a long haul flight?
Although looking up the quoted 'expert' April Masini, she also covers Media and Relationship advice. That cou!d be a useful person to be seated with on a long flight :) not.....

I haven't read the article but on our recent trip back from SFO the gentleman opposite us (30s, fit, European maybe German accent) in 14K changed into his pjs prior to take off and when he came back from the loo it was VERY obvious he was sans underwear. Very possibly didn't think twice about just wearing the ps as he would have at home.

Mae West would have been very happy to see that he was very happy to see her 🤣🐎

Given the fact he was German there was some chance he'd return from the loo naked

Note that this article is simply a cut and paste syndication from a US publication.

It’s written from a US perspective where 95% of air travel is short haul domestic. Basically airborne greyhound busses.

Our market is very different, with a significant element of ultra long haul international. Pajamas absolutely make sense in our scenario.

Hahaha! Equally I've seen very large overweight people where the very very generous largest size QF PJ's don't cover all the excess flesh, wobble out everywhere giving us a good flash of flesh everytime they got up.... 😂

Love PJ's on a plane, either I change into the complementary one's after take off or if in economy with the family change into trackies. I have 5 pairs of QF J PJ's and love sleeping in them at home. so comfy.

there was an article in the traveller letters in the SMH the other day complaining about the All Blacks changing into their Pyjamas on. Flight from JNB to SYD. I am pretty sure they all had their undies on.

There were then responses the next week from various women suggesting asking which flight they will be on next !!

Saw a bloke do a full on weigh-in with his own scales, assistants and wearing nothing but reg grundies - gate 18 BNE. It was something to see. Strange, but you take it all in your stride these days.

The bloke pulled it off - cut like a fresh lawn.... since watching the news, I've wondered if it was Tim Tszyu

The ubiquitous (eastern grey) kangaroo suit? Yes, best for wearing at home. Maybe not so much in public. ;)
