Q. AC codeshare all the way or switch to SIA part way through?

Requesting a little help from the brains trust.
I have two options in front of me and I’m not savvy enough to know if one is preferred over the other. I’m VA platinum and looking at PE for this flight.

It is the same flight but one is coded AC all the way, the other is coded SIA from NRT to SIN

Do I,
1) book AC from YVR to SIN via NRT all as AC.
Or
2) book AC from YVR to SIN via NRT (as AC from YVR to NRT) then SIA codeshare NRT to SIN.

Exact same flight just with different code, both same price and bookable on AC.

Is there any benefit for booking one or the other ie Lounge access?

Appreciate any insight.

I would take a non-codeshare option if it's available.
Easier for points claims (there can be funny rules on eligibility though not sure if this applies to VA)
Easier to deal with airlines direct if needs be (assuming not 3rd party booking)
Also not 100% sure that SQ would allow lounge access with VA status on an AC flight

Thats what I was thinking re: SQ not allowing on AC flight, but it turns out it is SIA metal on the NRT to SIN leg. So if I booked it with SIA code on the NRT to SIN leg, it would be with SIA and therefore lounge? Or am I reading that wrong?

SQ does not operate KrisFlyer lounges in NRT or HND - so unless you are travelling business or first you won’t be eligible for lounge access as VA Platinum or Gold regretably, even in PE.

Bugger… Well, I’ll just opt for the short layover and stretch my legs for a bit!
