Just returned from UK with Qantas, planes chokka block both ways, Qantas staff from check in to landing were excellent, no hiccups, everything on time and no problems. Couldnt fault them in any way.

I have to say that i haven't had a complaint about QF staff for some time now. I mainly fly DOM and they have always been good. at the QP I've generally had my request for an emergency seat granted without any fuss.

Good to hear... I think from time to time these threads are needed to remind people that it's usually only the bad stuff which is heard... The good stuff often goes unnoticed...

I've just got home from a quick 1 week trip from ADL to LAX and back.
Was upgraded going over at the gate to Y+ which was great, and the service was excellent.
Came home on friday with about a 70% full aircraft and had 3 seats to myself which was also great for sleep.
Only downer on the whole trip was after I cleared customs and pushed my 3 cases to domestic check in where I was asked if I had paid my excess fees. I said "no, I believe I'm entitled to 3 bags as this is a completion of a trip from the US plus I'm a qantas club member". I then asked if she would re-tag the bags with priority tags for the trip from MEL to ADL. She just pushed the button and sent my bags down the chute without priority tags, and then pushed my LAX supplied boarding pass accross to me and called "Next".
I know its only a small point, and it didn't really upset me, but it just shows how 1 person can change your feelings. By the way, her name was Mel.
