Yeah I agree. They still run 767's with no skybed or personal IFE so for me its still not worth the money, its nowhere near the same J experience as other international routes. QF should chuck A330 aircraft on this route.
Actually, the 763's normally operating these flights have Dreamtime seats which do have personal IFE as well as a far better sleeping position than the Millennium seats. The also have more room being in a 1x2x2 layout. They still run 767's with no skybed or personal IFE ...
But there is a selection of only 6 movies and 2 tv channels, rather than the fullsome selection available on most international flights. I am pleased to hear they have the millenium seats though, as my family and I are doing this flight on Sunday. I am sure it will be adequate. Not looking forward to the return though, as we are going Y, where there is no personal IFE at all. At least its a daytimne flight though, so the lack of sleeping possibility should not be such a hassle (trying to stay positive, but its a struggle).Actually, the 763's normally operating these flights have Dreamtime seats which do have personal IFE as well as a far better sleeping position than the Millennium seats. Hmm, why am I reminded of being excited to see the introduction of Dreamtime seats and looking forward to the seat for long-haul flights like SYD-LAX. Its not that long ago when these were state-of-the-art and better than anything else available on the trans-Pacific route. Now we complain about them on a 9-hour flight . How our expectations change with time.I cant see any decent comparison between J on a B763 and J on a B744 or an A330. A few films to choose from on a loop. A non skybed seat, noisier older aircraft. Yes the Dreamtime are better than Millenium, but the overnight flight from Sydney to Honolulu would be much better in a skybed. Coming back its a daytime flight so dreamtime is fine.\

I would rather fly on JQ in *Class to be honest!
I find the A330 so much nicer than the old B767's
