I just noticed an error in my QFF activity statement.

Usually during the first week of every month, my QF Amex Credit Card points are transferred automatically to my QFF account.

However, this month for some strange reason the transfer is a negative. There are 2 entries. One for the points earned and the other for the bonus points when booking QF flights with Amex. Both entries are negative.

Has anyone else had the same issue before?

Who is responsible? QF or AMEX?

I fear that both will be blaming each other.

Amex will be your first point of call. They are the ones transferring points to Qantas.

Qantas should only be involved if Amex can't solve the issue.

BTW, have you cancelled/refunded any Qantas tickets recently? That can cause negative points allocation in normal membership rewards (and I assume Qantas)

I cancelled a Qantas flight which I had paid for on my Amex and have had the same situation - negative points on my statement.

got credited the correct points a few days ago so no issues here and never seen negative unless redeeming points or cancellation of award booking etc.

I have not cancelled any QF flights.

It shows this in my activity statement:

02 MAR09 QANTAS AMEX ULTIMATE CARD-4,974 02 MAR09 QANTAS AMEX ULTIMATE CARD-2,066

The 2066 was the bonus points for booking QF flights.

I had the same thing happen this month. Turns out they gave me double points by mistake a few months ago. :(

Yep. I just got the same letter this afternoon from AMEX.

Double point entry in Nov 2008. They blame a computer glitch..

Was about to call QF/AMEX tomorrow to give them my 2 cents worth. Just as well I waited.
