Hi,

Am only posting this question on here as I do not have posting access to the referral forum as yet.
Could anyone tell me if there are any bonus points over and above the standard 80k available if
signing up through one of the referral links, or are the bonus points only for the referrer?

I believe the current AMEX referral offers for the Qantas Premium card, give the same number of points to the applicant as the "standard" offer on the AMEX website. This differs to some of the other AMEX cards, where the current referral offers give the applicant significantly more points than the standard offer.

Having said that, I would encourage you to use someones referral link, especially from this site :), as it is a great way of giving back to the AFF community for zero inconvenience to you. Plus you could really make someone's day or holiday plans!! :)

Good luck with your application.

Wouldn,t it be nice if the referrer got the points & the referred got the other bonuses,it might just get more longtime card holders to refer more new customers.Look after your exisisting clients Amex.New card holders get points to go to USA or London ,I get points to go to Sydney maybe.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Thanks for that I will absolutely use a referral link when I sign up,what goes around...., just wanting to see what opportunities were available to maximise points on sign up.
