Wondering if anyone has any luck in finding Business award booking for Canada or DXB in june or July 23 as I am unable to find it - i have saved so much points now I can even travel in Buss class - I have tried on Virgin & Qatar but no luck either

Does anyone know what's the best way to find Award bookings specially on Bus Class to Canada or DXB -

Status Velocity & Qatar Platinum- Qantas Gold Status

Thanks in advance

There is availability in QSuites to Doha in July 23 via Virgin. You'll just need to find a short flight to DXB.

There are also a few days to Vancouver via Singapore Airlines Business Class using Velocity points in July 23.

Sadly Qantas Awards has no availability for either on any airline. Just another reason I'm pushing my spend towards Velocity points while my large pool of Qantas points just sit there.

Thanks is it from Mel or Syd I can't see anything?

Break it down into sectors (after you have given up on you first direct flight check). Look at which airline appears the most in your options and then use their hub as the first destination sector....... using Vancouver as your desired destination and QF as your points, I use then use the Multi-Citi option in Qantas booking to find options. I can see Cathay with some availability in June for flights from Aus and flights from Hong Kong to Vancouver, so I pick Hong Kong as the first destination and start searching from all major cities in Australia....... I can see a bunch of options for Vancouver, a couple of examples:

First Premium economy looks the easiest, I am seeing good availability with connecting flight option:

Business is a bit harder but still options. These in my quick check are "non=connecting" ie with long layover but a solution all the same eg.

Next step is to find out how to get from your home city to the Australian city with availability, then link it all up and you are done. Good luck!!!

Also, if you can, to make it a bit less complicated, maybe pay the bit of flight from your home city to the CX/QR departure point.
I know the temptation is to add all into the one reward PNR, but this can lead to big problems if QF is slow in processing the award request, as has been mentioned on this website.
Inter Aust fares in Y are quite reasonable, maybe a bit more since covid.

Would June 27th (or the 4th or 11th of July) be okay? I see there is CX J availability from Sydney to Vancouver (and even Sydney to Toronto) then:

Wow, you have set yourself a huge challenge to find RTW for 2.5 passengers with QF points, over school holidays…… I would love to hear how you ultimately solve it……. Just two recommendations from me, keep searching for just one ticket using the multi-citi tool to find an airline / hub with good availability, once you have identified that, then switch to your required number of seats for your detailed search…….. second recommendation, be quick in booking, J slots disappear very quickly and I would expect the ones being discussed here will be the first to go (be prepared to drop to economy for some legs)….
Good luck!

Yea I know it's been hard I have been looking for last 6 weeks or so only manage to find few - I want to travel in Business that's the reason- wish me Luck in finding 🤞

Nimo- Whatever you do, don't change flights once you have your RTW setup. Qantas is not the best to takes risks with recently as they are slack to reticket. YMMV.

Yea I am bit nervous booking with Qantas as what I have read people doesn't have good experience lately but I don't have any choice as I have been saving these points to book RTW.
Overall Qantas hasn't been helpful from what I have heard & read what people have to say with their recent travel specially International Travel
