Has anyone managed to cancel their bookings now that Qantas had allowed cancellations until 31 March (for which you receive travel credit)

The site says you can do it through MYB but none of my flights have a cancel option and I don't want to be calling them.

I haven’t yet but will be in next few days just holding on to the last minute... anyone else?

I cancelled mine yesterday, taking the credit voucher which I will use to rebook pretty much the same flight (as it has to be the same people) in October. Was super easy, done from the Qantas booking website page and only cost me the CC charges.
Is it worth booking during this current sale before March 19th, flights will only be a little bit more for October 2020, or wait and see if Qantas drop their prices to try and get us back in the air when the crisis is over?

I cancelled a booking via Manage My Bookings last night for a credit voucher, and got the "Your booking has been cancelled" page, stating that a confirmation email had been sent. However, about 12 hours later, no such email has arrived and the booking still appears as a trip in MMB.

Trying to manage/cancel that booking a second time leads to a "We are unable to find this confirmation number. Please validate your entry and try again or contact us for further information. (8104)" error.

I assume that it is taking time for the cancellation to be fully processed due to system load, just as it took time for gift voucher email confirmations to arrive a few weeks ago when the DSC offer was on.

The recent Qantas offers of credit vouchers to cancel flights. Do we have to pay change fees when we use the credit vouvhers to re-book our flights?

I’m in the same situation - cancelled over 12 hours ago but no voucher yet.

Took a couple of hours for the voucher to come though last night, but I cancelled within the first 30 minutes of the press release. Took a few screenshots of the confirmation page too, just in case.

I had a booking and cancelled today - this was a classic reward booking. However, it did not even give me the option to choose 'voucher' as per the Qantas instructions and there were no other instructions on how classic flight rewards would work.

Does anyone have any info on this?

I cancelled over 48 hours ago (before the announcement, without an option for a voucher) and neither have the trip removed from MMB nor any sort of credit which I'm unlikely to get, so I suspect those who have requested vouchers will be waiting some time longer, perhaps until the booking system has the logic to process cancellations correctly.

Per the announcement, classic rewards cancellations will be fee free but will not be in the form of a voucher:

Qantas Frequent Flyers who have booked classic redemption flights on Qantas, Jetstar and all partner airlines, and no longer wish to travel, will have change fees waived.

Shouldn't Qantas first be refunding the taxes at least (if not the additional charges too)? None of them can be calculated since you have a voucher rather than a booking. These 'add ons' are additional to the fare paid. Check the conditions carefully as it seems time restrictions date back to when the ticket was first purchased. Also other strict rules. Cancellation may still be a better option even after paying a fee.

No, but when you find out would you post please.
I've 2 award flights for wife&daughter I am considering cancelling, but I've no idea what "...change fees waived" means when you "no longer wish to travel" which 33kft found on the qfa site. As they were MY points, I would hope they would (all) be re-credited to my account as that is simpler for future use.

It means that the 6000 points that are usually deducted per booking for Classic Rewards bookings will not be deducted when the points are returned to the account which made the booking and which the points were originally "spent" from.

Has anyone tried moving/cancelling a partially flown booking yet?

Just looked into a trip in April where work has said no travel. outwards leg is non-flexible. I can cancel presumably with change fee waiver. But if I try to change to flights in June for another meeting then they want the change fee. For some reason I thought qantas'd be more happy to see me re-book rather than in a voucher.

Anyway, a warning to make sure you don't get charged a change fee on the voucher when eventually rebooking.

BTW The $33 price difference on the flexible leg to business is highly attractive.

Just wondering (before I embark) whether anyone has been in touch with Amex Travel regarding cancellation of a QF itinerary booked for the applicable period with AMEX travel credit and how you fared?

I had flights to HND in PE for May that were booked in Oct last year. Now that the 747 SYD-HND service has been swapped out for the A330, and Qantas have dropped the class on my bookings from PE to Y, I'm guessing I should be able to get a refund, not just a credit voucher??
