The QANTAS booking site appears to be down again. Anyone else having the problem :?:

Nah, I'm booking my Virgin Blue tickets just fine here. :D

As I wrote on another site:

"Yep site is borked for booking flights and reviewing previously booked flights. Award bookings still look ok.

The issue is that a transaction server called "book.qantas.com.au" is not responding.

It's not even in the DNS, so your computer can't find it.

I don't recall "book.qantas.com.au" being used before for bookings. Has IT been making more changes without proper testing again?"

As a workaround while the IT boys are probably playing "Who's gonna tell the boss" and rapidly trying to propogate a DNS entry across the Internet:

The change that seems to have been made is the migration of booking services from the application server http://wftc3.e-travel.com/ to http://book.qantas.com.au/

When the booking fails, simply replace http://book.qantas.com.au/ in the URL bar with http://wftc3.e-travel.com/ and hit enter. Your search will load correctly.

Note this may go totally wrong for you. You take full and any responsibility for anything that goes wrong with the booking :!:

While I don't see anything about book.qantas.com.au, it does seem the booking engine, is, to coin a phrase, borked.
