QANTAS BUSINESS CLASS LOUNGES
I have a Qantas business class flight return Melbourne to LAX in November. Can you please advise if I am able to use the business lounges at both airports.

Also my frequent flyers activity statement shows a deduction of 90 points for no activity despite the fact that I have regular rewards for being a Qantas health member apart from other activities. I have been unable to get through to someone by phone for an explanation.

You can use the International Business lounges when departing both MEL and LAX, and can guest one person on the same flight. (Assuming you’re not platinum or higher.)

As mentioned above, you will have access based on your class of service.

Business class passengers will get access to Qantas and American Airlines lounges regardless of any status they have with the airlines frequent flyer program. T LAX you might want to visit the American Airlines Flagship lounge, which may be better than the Qantas offering, including champagne. Just show your boarding pass for entry.

When you say 90 points have been deducted, do you mean points of status credits? Status credits will expire after one year. You may have earned those through flights, or some sort of ‘roll-over’ that was given during covid. The roll-over carried forward some status credits from previous years to make it easier to qualify for status this year.

You can try both qantas and american airlines lounges at LAX - even hop between them. I find AA’s flagship lounges (which you have access to) to be far superior to the QF Business class option including a wide range of hot food, champagne and coughtails freely available. With QF you might get a sparkling wine.

Just another question given we have a connecting flight from Toronto to LAX (westjet) in Economy on the same ticket as our Biz LAX to SYD would we have lounge access in Toronto?
Also will the domestic lounge access in SYD be Business Lounge or QC?

Not for the Westjet because that's not part of oneworld.
Domestic lounge will be the business lounge because you would be travelling business class
