MEL-SYD this morning a choice of corn fritters with salmon (must be popular as this seems to have been in the menu since last year?), goat cheese salad (big bowl) or french toast with bacon, beans and spinach.
The crew member said ‘it’s listed as french toast but I think it’s a frittata’.
Well… oh my gosh… it was SO light and fluffy… it was actually french toast! dipped in egg of course, and topped with a thin layer of melted cheese and a smattering of chives through the middle of two pieces of bread.
It was delicious! The bread was about two cm thick, but really fluffy.Three slices - maybe four? - were sandwiched together and grilled/baked.
Dunno why I had to go and ruin it with a bottle of Lois! lol.
The little apple cake on the side was a bit dry. Much prefer the muffin-y things that are warmed and packed with fruit purée.
But I have a new favourite on QF now. Behind the polenta comes this savoury french toast. Followed by QFi scrambled eggs.
