I am over the moon about the Qantas Business Travel TV Commercial...

"Qantas makes business travel a breeze"

YouTube - Qantas Paper Planes - 60 seconds

At least now I know I don't need to get up in the 4AM darkness for those earlybird frights. No need for a cab to the airport. I don't have to do the airport rituals - lining up to check in, lining up for security, lining up for coffee, lining up to board - usually a few times.

At least now I know I'll be having coffee in the most quiet and peaceful settings with glamorous people. I won't ever have to endure a hotel, or eating dinner alone. And my phone will never ring all day.

At least now I know I can get home while the sun's up and my son's still playing with his bike.

Little wonder my friends think travel is a perk.

BTW, the ad has great production values and a lovely feel, but for some reason it doesn't resonate with my situation! What do you think?

O/T: Rather interesting miscellaneous videos on Qantas's YouTube channel.

Just watched a couple pertaining to pilot recruitment and grad program.

Its all about the glamour.

Still like these new ads better than the old ones about some "big shot" regaling stuff about how he likes his paper in the morning and his beer cold in the evening. Oh and of course his uppity comical relief-come-sidekick / "colleague".

Oh and in the same series was that ad where the team had a "boring" personal development lecture and the "big shot" decided to book a SYD-MEL flight literally behind the presenter's back as his words coincidentally lined up with the booking process.

Most of us would have had the following conversation, or one pretty much like it,

" Oooh, you're so lucky, I'd love to travel, it must be so exciting"
