Anyone know how to go back from QF cash FF card to the standard card?

What you see is what you get.

Just don't activate the cash side of it OR if activated then don't use it.

I don't think I've activated or used mine for a couple of years.

I did that last year.
Had to call as it couldn't be done by email.
Fairly painless.

Here's their initial response:

Dear HT,

Thank you for contacting Qantas Cash.

Please be advised to close your account, we would need to speak to you over the phone to confirm security.
We require confirmation that you agree that the request will be final and by closing your Qantas Cash functionality it cannot be reinstated at a later date. The credit balance minus any fees will be refunded to you in AUD to your nominated bank account.
You can either contact us on 131131 within Australia. If you’re outside Australia then call +61(2)94332327 or +61(3)96585302.
However if you would like us to contact you then please provide a contact number and a suitable time for us to call within your time zone and provide your location.
I hope that the above information is of use, but if there is anything we can assist with further, please don’t hesitate to get in contact.

Sounds like QF is lying. If you didn't need to speak to someone to set up the account, there's no reason why you should need to speak to them to close it.

That might seem so given N860CR's experience.
They do seem to make out it's some sort of momentous decision like renouncing citizenship or declaring war.
I'm guessing KPIs and bonuses are at stake.

To close my Qantas Cash account I had a form sent over to me which required signing and several other bits of data like my bank details. This was done over email after the phone call.

FYI: contrast - Velocity you log in and tick a box and you're done

Go onto the Qantas Cash website and you can suspend your card, just never re-instate it
