Hi,

I am trying to book a flight for next year for 3 people, all with their own FF accounts and points, to go from ADL-LAX RTN in September next year in Business Class. Every time I look there is like only 1 seat available both in and out. All the rest have a little Explanation point for the Business Class Seat saying "your flight from SYD (or MEL) to LAX will be in Economy. Why is that?

Even if I book right up until the last date showing on the Qantas site the most I can possibly get is 2 seats on the same flight that dont have either the exlamation point, or go via HKG with Cathy. Surely there aren't only 2 sseats available for the whole FF membership?

Lastly I looked at ASA and its the same thing.

Any ideas?

Hi Spizz, you have pretty much got the lowdown from Serfty.
i will ask if you're WP? If you are then you may be able to do it over the phone as they will make more seats available for high status flyers, especially if there are sale fares showing up for business.

No WP here. Thanks for the heads up guys.

Still cant understand why only so few seats would be available to all FF members for J Class (like 1 or 2 only at base points as soon as the date comes up). Will my chances increase if I call and ask for Qantas to get all 3 members on the same flight as opposed to me trying to find a route via their site and possibly have it disspear mid booking if someone else books one?

I would even settle for a mixture of F & J if it means we get all 3 on the same flight.
