Hi All

Does it matter if I am travelling on a discount economy ticket, as long as I am a Qantas Club member I can still access the Qantas Club lounge. I had a funny feeling that if travelling economy, they woudn't let me in, even though I was a member. I am asking, as I am considering joining up for the first time and would mainly be travelling on economy tickets.

Cheers

If you are travelling on Qantas, as a Qantas Club member or Gold/Platinum Frequent Flyer, you are admitted into the Qantas Club regardless of class of travel.

Extend that statement a little further.

As a Qantas Club member you are allowed access to Qantas Lounges when travelling on QF, JQ, BA and AA.

Thanks for the replies. Just wanted to make sure before i paid up.

I appreciate your responses.

All the best jetstream. I was a bit like you a couple of years ago - a little hesitant, but once you start using it, it's hard to go back. I particularly like situations like I had today - walked straight thru to a counter to drop off bags. Economy queue was 50+ pax. More time to enjoy the new barista service at PER QP!

Makes these early Pilbara flights of mine way more bearable! I usually find time for a second cup.:D

Queue hopping is a definite advantage.

 I had 3 today. Plus 2 for my non-flying guest. And that was after 2 each of the machine ones. Sort of makes the parking fee worth it for a free brekky.

I knew the service was coming to PER but it took me a while to realise all those silly people who bought their coffees in the terminal and brought them into the QP weren't so silly after all. It was just me being ignorant.

It was good until my employer realised Virgin now services many of these Pilbara airports and that they can save money there. We were all Qantas gold but now have to go back to basics and cold sandwiches or $5 sausage rolls if we are hungry.
Although now the company has to reimburse us $100 or so in excess baggage to get our tools through thanks to it dropping us back to the 23kg limit.
At least the flight attendants on Virgin can make things fun with their "stand up comedy" announcements sometimes!
