Just confirming what I think is right, I am a Qantas Club member travelling Bali to Brisbane on JQ.
no lounge access at DPS?
thank you!

You will never find a QP (Qantas Club) outside of Aust.
Because they don't call it that outside Aust.
You will find QF int J lounges, which QP members will have access to, but I have not checked if DPS has a QF int J lounge. Or/And if JQ flyers flyers get access to the QF int J lounges or not.

Although the title of the thread is QC, the OP is really enquiring about lounge access in DPS travelling on JQ.

The OP is correct. There is no access to the Premier lounge at DPS for a Qantas Club member flying JQ. You must be flying QF, or JQ full freight business.

Pooch, the OP did not refer to the name of the Lounge at DPS or anywhere else as the Qantas Club and your reply did not address the question.

Correct. We couldn't access as WP! There is a JQ fare that does give access to their lounge.

But now you've raised this issue. We are travelling on Qantas to DPS. Interesting.

There is no Qantas operated lounges in DPS - only an "associated lounge". In this case "Premier lounge"
As a QC member you need to be flying a QF operated and marketed flight. Which means QF flight number on your boarding pass and a kangaroo on the tail of the aeroplane

There are no circumstances I can see where anyone flying a JQ can get access. Not even PlatinumOne. (Unless there is a JQ fare where you have to pay more)

I'm pretty sure Business Max on JQ gets access to the lounge.

Yes. There is a JQ fare that gets you access as I mentioned above.
Flying on a QF code and QF bird in November. WP in J.

Yep. I was turned away from the lounge in DPS last year as a QF SG flying JQ J (albeit not with Max bundle).

I ended up paying around $33 to access the TG lounge and thought it was worthwhile. The entry price included a shower and a 15 minute massage, although you had to pay extra for more than one alcoholic beverage.

Access is also given if you have the Starter Max Bundle

I'm one post short of being able to post a proper link, but from jetstar.com it's at: /au/en/help/articles/lounge-access-for-economy-starter-max-passengers

Any updates on access in DPS ?

There is still no lounge access in DPS when flying Jetstar, unless you've bought an appropriate bundle. If you're booked on a Qantas flight, you can use the Premier Lounge in Denpasar.

... and don’t set your expectations too high with the Premier Lounge.

Edit: But better than nothing

Qantas are apparently trialing a new lounge at DPS according to this Facebook post a few days ago. The post might only be visible to group members so here's a screenshot:

OP mentions in the comments it's a new landside lounge being trialed at the Novotel for a few weeks.

If this does go ahead, it'll be interesting to see whether JQ pax with status or QC would get access.

It's good Qantas are looking to do something about the abysmal Premier lounge, but I'm not sure that a landside lounge at an airport like DPS (with its potential for lengthy immigration queues) is a good idea.
