Was having a discussion with friends and discovered that QC corporate rates vary significantly.

Obviously, without revealing the organisation, I was curious to find out just how low the rates go.

Public renewals are $485 for 1 year and $875 for 2.

The lowest in our group was $245/$410.

Anyone else?

Depends how big your organisation is, I've heard working for Woolworths can be rewarding in that sense.

Ours are less than the AFF group rates, but more than your group lowest :)

Not too fussed about that benefit. I find the ~8% I get off at the Apple Store by showing my ID card far more beneficial (and no, I don't work for Apple)

Mine was $475 for two years last time I renewed, so not as cheap as your friends. Salary sacrifice it through work though and it works out pretty cheap I think!

Last time I renewed it was something like $450 for 4 years. That was a big blow as the time before was something like $400 for 5 years. Rather upset they stopped offering 5 year renewals.

I think I paid $250 for 5 years back in the 1990s.

Right, you'll be hearing from me next time I want to make a purchase... and you can even keep the CC points! :p

It looks like I'm going to fall short of re-qual SG next year, is it possible to renew QC membership under AFF or do I have to pay for a new membership?

Did you have QC membership before you got SG, if so it'll kick back in (remaining months) and you can then renew that. If not, you have to pay the joining fee. QF PS doesn't have the same benefit of VA PS where a joining fee isn't required.

Ah thanks, no I didn't have QC membership before SG, looks like I'll have to pay the joining fee. :(

$297 for 3 years (no joining fee), but that was 10 or so years ago. Still ultra-cheap at the time, and an ultra-large company.
