Just got this through from QF:
[FONT="]With immediate effect, there has been a slight increase in rates for Qantas Club renewals and new memberships. There is no change to the join fee.[/FONT]
[FONT="]On average, the price rise equates to around 8% (or around $30 per annum), and is the first published increase in fees since 01 October 2007.[/FONT]
[FONT="]Qantas has invested $70 million in the lounge network across Australia and overseas since the last pricing review in 2007.[/FONT]
[FONT="]This investment has resulted in expanded and refurbished lounges and provides enhanced benefits to Members including:[/FONT]

- [FONT="]New lounges opened in Los Angeles in November 2008, Perth International Business Lounge in December 2008, London (Terminal 3) in November 2009 and Cairns in December 2009[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Refurbishment of Honolulu lounge in September 2009, First and Business class lounges in Hong Kong in December 2009[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Expansion of the Melbourne International Business lounge in September 2008[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Perth & Canberra lounges will double in size following upgrades due for completion in mid 2010 [/FONT]
