Qantas club membership expired but still showing as active

In 2021, I managed to earn 350,000 which gave me Qantas club membership via Points Plus. Unforunately my credit card churning in 2022 wasn't as successful and my membership expired a few weeks ago. The website says that I need to renew.

Despite this, my membership card still (via the app) shows me as being a member of the Qantas Club (says so in the top right hand corner) and a recent booking to travel interstate says that I can "relax at the qantas club" prior to boarding. I tried adding a qantas guest pass to the booking but wasn't able to as I am "already a member".

Just checking if anyone else has had this happen and whether I should expect to be let in when I try to access the Sydney domestic lounge in a few weeks??
 
Does your digital membership card show an expiry date?
I am wondering if you attained PC+ during your last membership year (for example up to Jan 31, 2023) and were given QC, that the QC membership will last for the entire of this membership year. A bit like earning status - so that you get at least 12 months of membership even if you've lost PC+. For example if you made PC+ in say November, would only getting 2ish months of access make sense? Probably not.

that's the only reason I can think of, though I'm unsure if the QC membershop is absolutely concurrent with PC+ - I'm sure others can comment further on this.
 
Good question. I should have posted a picture earlier. Still seems to be active but has clearly past the shown expiry date.

oh. well.. that changes things a bit.

I'd guess it may be related to the IT catchup issue and maybe rectified soon. maybe.

a bit odd, but yeah I guess the Jan 2023 expiry seems pretty clear.

Have you tried getting into the lounge yet? I am in the same situation, flying LAX - SYD on Sunday and want to know if I can access the lounge there.
 
Interesting experience with my mother in law
QC expired in December 2022 - clearly shows this on her digital and physical card.
However, it still shows QC on her digital card (despite the date of expiry) and also showed on her boarding pass.
Scanned boarding pass and nil issues with entry to the QC.

Her next flight on Sunday, see if it is the same experience then.
 
I am in the same situation. The app shows Qantas Club has expired, but in the lounge invitations it says I am still a a Qantas Lounge member and can get in? Maybe its a grace period to re-new your membership of QC ?
 
I think it is a system issue with Ponts Club. I had membership for 4 or 5 months from memory and used the lounge a few times during this period with my family. Just enjoy it while you can!

I am sure you will. I got in multiple times including with my entire family! The worse that can happen is they tell it has expired and send you away.
