I am doing alot of travel through Europe in September, would joining the Qantas club be worth it.

Welcome to AFF again, glad you decided to start a thread.

As I mentioned in your blog, Qantas Club would give you lounge access when flying BA in Europe where they have lounges, but not a lot else. So if you were intending to fly BA through your different European destinations, and enjoy lounging around at an airport before your flight, then the value would be there.

I don’t believe Qantas Club would give you any extra baggage allowance or priority baggage/lines on BA, but I could be wrong, someone will surely correct me.

I guess another thing to consider is whether or not you're flying on OneWorld airlines. If you do enough flying you may build up some status and eventually get access to other lounges.

I have read that you don not get extra bagage allowance with BA but I do have a 5 hour wait between flights at Heathrow I guess it may be worth the comfort of the lounge.

Assuming your next onward flight is with BA, yes, but how much are you willing to pay to spend 5 hours in a lounge? You’d be looking at spending $555. If you’re only going to use the lounge once then that’s a steep entry fee.

Also bear in mind you might be able to upgrade your BA flight to business class (Club Europe) for less and be given free lounge access through that.

No one here wants to discourage you from getting lounge access, but value for money is worth considering ;)

Priority Lounge Pass may make more sense for you, 10 visits for US $249, unless you can get your value out of the QP here ????

I don't believe there are any Priority Pass lounge in T5 since the next leg is with BA.

Be aware that at LHR terminal 5, there are no Priority Louge Pass lounges I believe.

Note, some BA flights leave from T3 (Vienna? Barcelona?) though

My suggestion for a Priority pass membership was in the context of the OP travelling europe for a while, not their immediate needs for the flight ex LHR, I would not advocate anyone joining a lounge scheme for the purpose of a 5 hour visit. Another reason for the Priority Pass suggestion it the greater number of lounges they would have access to in their travels through Europe, and while that dont have one at T5, T1,3 and T4 are well catered for.

Another consideration is if you have a Diners Card, their lounge access is free to card holders:
