Hi, Can anyone please tell me what happens if you are a Qantas Club member & you then make Gold FF status. I have 8 months QC membership remaining. It seems stupid to be paying for QC when I have lounge acess through Gold FF. Can the QC be suspended etc.?

It is automatically suspended, and if you ever lose your QF Gold status, then the 8 months of QANTAS Club membership will automatically reactivate. So you're not "wasting" your QANTAS Club membership at all.

I have just lost my SG status due to only flying 270 SC's this membership year. I am now Qantas Club Silver. I have never paid for QC membership. A letter arrived the other day with my PS kit and a Qantas Club card. The leter advised my complimentary QC membership had been extended for 3 months. Pleasant surprise.

BTW I am kicking myself. Last year only managed 590 SC's and a call to Qantas got my SG status retained for another year. I tried again this year but they advised me cannot comp 2 years consecutively. In hindsight I should have done a SC run to make up that 10 SC before my membership year ended and I would most likely have SG again this year.

And the good thing about getting Qantas Club membership after the complimentary period is over you avoid the joining fee and only pay the yearly Qantas Club membership fee.
