Hi all,

The last two times I have used the Qantas club in Sydney over the last month they only had plastic cups for alcohol and paper plates for food. First time I thought maybe it was to do with how busy the lounge was, but twice in a few weeks is a bit worrying.

Wondering if this is the new normal for Qantas?

Same dishwasher as the Business lounge?

Last week when I was there they had proper plates and I think wine glasses, but no beer glasses. Had to choose a stubbie from the fridge behind them.

Must be some special dishwasher QF is waiting for… that’s been outa action pretty much all year hasn’t it? (at least it feels like it)

The J lounge one was operational this week.
No disposable plates or glasses seen. B27C8711-548D-4EF7-8A00-C65A9AA33011.jpeg

Sydney J Lounge certainly had glasses and plates a'plenty on Sunday.
Also this morning. Proper plates and glasses.

Although food offerings were sparse around 10.15am: fruit salad (only melon and pineapple), yoghurt, chia, toasted sandwich ingredients, croissants and one choice of pastry, but no hot breakfast. Ie, no sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, baked beans etc. And of course no fruit juice maker, although some apples were there to be eaten whole.

Maybe they start clearing away the hot breakfast before 10.15am to make room for lunch? But lunch didn't come out until about 11.30am.
