Qantas have changed their flight look up for Qantas.com.

Previously it was under the "Plan" menu alongside "Timetable" with Arrivals and Departures, but they have been removed. Qantas have now put a "Flight Status" option under the "Fly" menu where you can look up for a date by flight number or origin-destination city pairs.

Biggest difference?

Once can no longer look up all Qantas relevant departures or arrivals for an airport on a particular date using Qantas.com.

You can only look up between origin-destination pairs.

It's a good thing that Flightstats provides this missing functionality.

you can still do it on the WAP browser though.. pain in the butt you can't do it online...

I accidentally discovered there was a mobile version last night and looked at that (slowly), before finding out this morning that the browser version no longer existed - thought I was imagining the change until I found this thread so thank you!

I guess this lets Qantas hide the on-time data from a single view!

There seem to be some other changes as well. I can no longer request "Asian Vegetarian". All the choices seem to be restricted to just Child, Diabetic or Vegan.

Indeed seems you can only put in a window/aisle request, bike/surfboard/windsurfer oversized luggage info or a limited choice of special meals, now just a message to call QANTAS for any other request.

Yep, it happened yesterday around Noon. I think the new version they 'released' this week had a few issues and Qantas have reverted to the prior version.

I seem to have lost the ability to view what seats are allocated on an international flight when viewing it through "Manage my booking". Can still see the seating allocation on checkmytrip etc.

New bug? Feature? or just my booking?

New bug/feature, has happened to my booking too.

I noticed this as well yestereday ... Bug is my guess ...

(1) Has anyone noticed the change to a reservation in MMB - the seat numbers now appear in the individual flight segment and not at the top where they were in a much less meaningful way. (Good change)

(2) Also, the new flight status page is very confusing when checking a whether a flight is on time. Estimated and actual have been merged into one column which makes it an interpretation nightmare! (Bad change)

I vaguely remember reading in another thread about how Qantas have let go a bunch of IT staff, and that they'd be reverting back to their "old" system? (Was that Qantas, or did I remember incorrectly for another business?)

From the sounds of the comments above, it definitely sounds like they have reverted back to some previous system with less functionality.

As an aside, I notice that there is a new (to me) function on the iPhone web app version - you can now bring up details of your booking, using your PNR and last name. Would be more useful if I could log in with FF# and PIN and then get a list of all my bookings, but .. oh well, baby steps. ;)
