If you're a Qantas Frequent Flyer, you could be packing your bags for Beijing - with the chance to WIN a return Economy trip* for four to the Beijing Olympic Games.
The sensational prize pack includes:

  • Return Qantas Economy airfares for four adults to Beijing.
  • Five nights' accommodation at the luxurious Minzu Hotel in the Xicheng District.
  • Tickets for four adults to five Olympic events, including the swimming, athletics and gymnastics.
  • A$1,000 spending money.
One entry is earned for signing up, plus one extra for each friend nominated who subsequently enters the competition (to a maximum of 5)

In days gone by the prize for a Qantas Competition was travel in Business class. This is in Y - standards are dropping!

Can someone post a link to this competition please?

I can't seem to find it on the Qantas site.

Thanks

Thanks for putting up the link - I tried to post it before but was told I might be spamming, so the site wouldn't let me :(

Yes - that's what struck me when I read it!

But when prizes are business class, they tend to be for 2 people. This comp is for 4 people. I guess someone make the call that 4 x economy seats was a better prize than 2 x business class seats.

I think the board is a little more diligent with checking posts from people with few posts. Anyway, wasn't hard to find the link!

Thanks for the link, I actually looked through the FF section where I've previously found competitions.

Nor did it show when I searched the site.

Myself, mrs & mini serfty all received emails in the last 12 hours re this promotion ...

If one was to win, does anyone know what class the tickets would be in - eg Y,K, whatever. Perhaps a points upgrade could be requested?

I am not keeping my fingers crossed. But if I was to win I could not care less that travel is in economy class and not business class....

My guess would be that the tickets would not be upgradeable. Possibly booked into the award classes.

From point 17.

The winner and their nominated travel companion cannot upgrade any prize travel or prize accommodation using cash or Qantas Frequent Flyer points and will not accrue Qantas Frequent Flyer points on any prize flights or on any prize accommodation. The winner and their nominated travel companions must travel together on the same flights on all sectors of prize travel.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Of course!?!?

A "free" ticket has nothing to do with your status and your status has nothing to do with a "free" ticket.
