Yeah, received one yesterday. Late notice, not sure if I am down the list as "back up" and they haven't had many acceptances?

I can't see what city is hosting, but I have some great memories of meeting Bundy Bear at one in Brisbane, many years ago now.

We were both there for the skiing destinations

Got mine for CBR today as well. Might see you there. :)

And identification will be made even easier if I see you at the CBR meet first :)

(still yet to confirm my schedule. will post in thread asap) :)

So has anyone gone to this?

Is it worthwhile going? CBR is on today, and I'm trying to decide whether it's worth the drive in from Belco!

Unless you are feeling lucky enough to win one of the door prizes, I would say not. Had a demonstration of the new check-in, but it was no more than the QF website video playing on a laptop, and other than that it was hotel chains trying to get you business.

It was ok - but I walked there from the office so it wasn't an inconvenience to attend.

I grabbed a couple of brochures for hotels I might try out, but beyond that it wasn't very useful for someone in the private sector (but one gets used to that in CBR).

It was interesting to see more about the plans for Canberra Airport and to hear that Qantas are moving into the new terminal in September, and the next generation check-in with Sydney coming in November and MEL/CBR soon after that.

The person at the NG check in also mentioned that they're about to start general distribution of the chip cards starting at CL, then WP, and so on so hopefully we'll all have one soon :)

The lunch wasn't bad, and there I won a $100 Best Western card as a door prize though :)

Well it was actually worth attending though Ewing given that we had a mini AFF do with yourself, myself and Petej all there,

Nice food and heaps of brochures for looking where to stay in the future. Got heaps of pens :D and post it notes as well. BA gave me a heap of lollies which I will pass on to a colleague with children.

I forgot about this one.

I was in Canberra this morning and could easily have gone to this before driving off :!:
