hi

Last year I canclled a QF PER - MEL one way for $209 and got credit for

Credit now expires on 15 Feb 2008

I saw some things at:
https://www.qantas.com.au/shopping/dyns/selection

so called the call centre to order but they said I cant use my credit buying Qantas gifts as credit can only be used on a flight booking.

Anybody been able to use their credit on non-airfare items ?

If I must only use it on a flight then might be interested in SIN - PER fare for $350AUD (that is after first making my way to SIN via Tiger for $250AUD.)

Any other suggestions on how to spend the credit if dont want to travel ?

I am not a QF FF and based in Perth.

While it is a credit, it really is just an offer from Qantas to put the value of your cancelled ticket towards a new ticket. It has no other real value.

So I don't think you'll be able to sweet talk them into letting you use it for anything else.

The credit you're holding is assigned under the original ticket number, and can therefore only be exchanged from one ticket number to another.

Does the ticket need to be used in the same name as the original booking or can it be assigned to someone else who is going to fly?

With QF it can only be used by the person who's name was on the original booking.

Thats the one + about DJ, theirs can be reassigned to any name.
