It has been more than 2 years since I was asked to join the Qantas Customer Advisory Panel , and I have been filling in this survey regularly, mainly to get a heads up as to what QF are thinking of implementing; we complained when we got a miserly Xmas card from them!

Today, this arrived in the post!!

Anyone else get one?

The cynic might say that obviously less and less individuals are bothering to fill in the survey but, IMHO, it is a nice token of appreciation!:p

It is a bottle of extra Virgin Olive Oil, FYI, and the card reads:

Please accept this gift with our compliments as a thank you for being an invaluable member of our Qantas Customer Advisory Panel. Your feedback is greatly appreciated and we look forward to hearing your future thoughts

Nice gesture by QF! Must admit I haven't completed the last two I've been sent (one because I didn't think the choice of answers covered my situation, and one because I plain forgot).

I'll have to be more thorough in future!

+1

Certainly a nice surprise..

Agree with your statement regarding the Advisory Panel in that it gives somewhat of an idea as to products and services that QF are studying.

Cheers

A 'nice' gift though I can not hazard a guess how they came up with a bottle of Olive Oil:!:

Maybe they aimed for something that looked classy in a bottle, but non-alcoholic in order to avoid upsetting those who don't imbibe?!

+1 here

I need to update my details having not had any requests since changing jobs...

Mind you my new email is in my profile so who knows...

Salad dressing
Marinating meat/fish
Mayonnaise
Dipping
Oil flavourings
Poaching

It's $14 each

It probably cost them that much again to ship it. simongr has pretty much got it covered. The only other suggestion I've got is to oil your saddle with it...

Or hand tools. Or use it to lubricate your sharpening stone

Geez ... I would have thought you guys would have been a great deal more creative in your suggestions of what might be useful to oil with something that tastes that good......

[pedantic mode]
There is a special postal deal for shipment of olive oil (as well as vino) which Aus Post makes available to producers/distributors. but if the $14 includes delivery, there won't be a whole lot of profit left....... And unless they have a better source than I do, the empty bottles are probably a couple of dollars each. Add a dollar for labels and filling. [/pedantic mode] One of these days I will have to consider planting fewer trees and selling more oil..... Let me know when/if any of you will be visiting Perth......

But I wander again
