G'day folks
I have just been told that Qantas does not allow changes to FF bookings after the trip has started, unless I want to forfeit a pile of points for a new booking.
Background... Flew Abx-syd-lax-yvr last week. Booked to return DEN-LAX-SYD-ABX
Now I just want to fly LAX to home.
Plenty of seats available so that's not an issue.
But now I have to get my cough down to DEN to come home when it's cheaper and quicker to go to LAX (paid for not on points).
it even saves Qantas money....

The whole lack of flexibility thing sucks
Now I am up for a 16 hour day of travel and layovers before I get on QF108
i know.... I should have made two bookings....1 out and one return

Making two bookings is generally the safer way of doing things. (That is not always possible FWIW.)

Before travel has commenced you can change change any Segment routing or airline or even cancel and re-credit Points with the payment/charge of the applicable fee(s).

However, after travel has commenced you can only change dates and times but not name, class of travel Segment routing or airline.

I guess you booked to DEN for a good reason in the first place.

In any case I guess you knew all that ...
