I have a TA booked flight involving HBA-ADL direct on QF later this year as part of a wider itinerary.

I've had two earlier HBA-ADL direct flights successively cancelled on me (they seem to do notifications on a rolling basis), so I checked the Nov one and yep, its cancelled.

I got onto the TA about it and she was very surprised saying that she hasn't had a notification about it through the GDS:

Very interesting as the change has not generated through to my system yet. I actually can’t fix the problem until they do send me a message of the flight cancellation.

and then:

Yes I’ve had a few come through but can’t believe they haven’t notified us yet as we are on the same system as them!!! I checked again today but it still has not generated a message to us yet.
Have to say they are totally incompetent to deal with at the moment,

My bolding. Quelle surprise ... Nice to know its not just us. BTW my TA has looked after me for 15 years, not a newbie. I'm not pressing the issue, as its a long way out and there are lots of alternatives.

I saw that a few weeks ago. I had a MEL-CBR flight in the morning, by pure chance I looked at EF in the middle of the night and realised the flight was zeroed out in all classes. I called VIP to change flight, they said it wasn't cancelled, I insisted, they called operations and then confirmed it was cancelled. Funny thing is Tripit, FR24 and flightaware only displayed the flight as cancelled 10 minutes after scheduled departure time. So it appears the way QF is handling cancellations doesn't seem to trickle down all the channels.
