Has anyone else had complimentary lounge invitations unlinked by QANTAS without being informed?
I linked 5 General invitations for my family to an international flight from MEL but just noticed them again in "Manage Complimentary Lounge Invitations" with each one showing "Available; Previously QF0021 MR Rich" and likewise MRS Rich, etc.
I linked them in the last week for a March trip - all are expiring after March. No email notification to tell me they had been cancelled.
If the flight was in the next few days I might understand if they deemed there wasn't going to be capacity but it is nearly 3 months from now. Centurion is our back up plan but from what I have heard it is not as good as QANTAS.

This could be related to the so-called School Holiday blackout periods
It's pre school holidays (Vic at least) and regardless they still say in the T&C that staff can refuse entry due to capacity issues.

Can it still be linked?
Yes, I have re-linked so I will see what happens now.

I will put it down to a glitch for the time being. There was nothing that looked like it could have caused this (like a change in flight time).

@Rich

Just check - the airline might have changed the flight. This is sometimes the reason for unlinking by the airline.

The airline also has absolute discretion to limit access to the lounges and the comp lounge passes are unfortunately the first to be limited

Seems unlikely if he was able to relink.

Also the QF21 - MEL-DFW - leaves after many of the other major flights - 1400 summer/1245 winter schedule - so it's unlikely there's a big demand issue - not too many OW flights out of MEL around that time either except to SIN (a bit earlier) and perhaps MH/CX flights (have not looked up timings though) so I doubt it's on capacity concerns tbh.

Thanks. Definitely not the case. Very odd.

Though airlines have been known to limit access calling it capacity constraints when there is none. (SFO Marco Polo - looking at you)
Fair point... though it seems very unusual IF this was the case here - specially with zero communication (but then again.. good ol' QF *sigh*).

So hopefully these stick (it's great it was piked up now and not on day of!).
