About to book a flight flying from Melbourne to Taipei, but via Hong Kong with Qantas (for the DSC of course!). My 2nd leg from Hong Kong to Taipei can be either with EVA Air or China Air.
None are Oneworld Members - can someone confirm if I still can take on extra baggage based on being a Qantas Gold member. I am assuming my baggage will be checked right through to Taipei if its under one booking from the Qantas website.

Ok I just had a quick look. You don't get extra baggage for China Airlines for QF Gold. Given that , I definitely would not expect it for Eva Air (who aren't even a partner).

If you need the luggage perhaps look at Cathay.
