Some good deals on QFi flights that have just started!

Y MEL-HNL $499 each way on QF and that should be an A330 service later this year
J MEL-AKL $649 each way on QF & EK
J MEL-LAX $5999 RETURN - No need for a companion here ;)
J MEL-LHR $6999 RETURN - QF & EK

SIN missed out with $1200ish being the fare in Y :evil:

singapore has been loaded now, around $750. not for sale in Brazil either. cheapest available fare without the brazil restriction seems to be approx $600 more which makes it useless for those wondering

(btw that's showing in the GDS but not qantas.com yet)

p.s. the bkk fare has no BR restriction

Thanks, seems booking via Brazil is gone for SIN permanently :(

Fares coming up on qantas.com for MEL-SIN-MEL for $719 which is not too bad I guess

Can't see the MEL-HNL fares though seems them haven't been loaded

$1999 QF MEL-CGK return in J phenomenal value, the retail price usually around the $4.5k and even in sales previously I've never seen it below $3k.

Was initially pleased to see SYD-SCL advertised as part of the sale, until I noted that it was only available on the LAN flights that QF code share on. Can someone in the know tell me why QF does this, that is, offer reduced priced tickets on flights that aren't their own? I'm confused by it. :confused:

1) QF's own direct QF27/28 is popular and fills up sans sale;
2) under the QF/LA codeshare, perhaps QF buys a fixed number of seats from LA and has to sell them, or they want to sell as many of their quota as possible to maximise revenue from the agreement.

Thanks Isochronous, that makes sense I suppose. I know the QF27/28 route is popular, just wasn't sure why they would be pushing LAN flights, but your reasoning explains this.

Question of value my fellow AFF'ers... Do you think it's worth an extra $500 for a J fare to LAX ex Sydney instead of BNE? The obvious benefits being FLounge time in SY as well as the chance for an upgrade to A380 F class (in the upgrade lottery of course)
