For the first time I'm actually flying J in Qantas internationally, into LHR. Anyone know if I will be able to use the lounge on arrival to freshen up (I'm only PS/QC unfortunately)?

Thanks!

Yes, you can use the BA arrivals lounge. Just present your boarding pass.

Interesting to note the last 2 times I have travelled into LHR on QF, nothing was mentioned on the plane about the arrivals lounge being available....

Nothing was mentioned about the arrival lounge on the last two trips I did, but it certainly is still there.

The shower is excellent, and the breakfast is very good. I had a hell trip recently where I did not get to see the bed for over 50 hours (meeting followed by flight to LHR then meeting and then another flight to the mainland Europe in the evening, with lots of ground transport as well). The arrival lounge was the God-send. I don't think I could have survived that trip (I'm a bit of a shower freak).

Thanks very much for the info. From the BA website it looks like the arrivals lounge is airside - is that correct? If so, what do people normally do about checked baggage? Just leave it on the carousel until you're done in the lounge?

No it's landside. At T4 it is to the west end of the arrivals hall (turn right on exiting immigration/customs). It's not well signed, you almost need to be looking for it to notice the entrance.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I was wondering if this is still available?

My flights have changed meaning I now arrive in LHR 8 hours before schedule which is at 5:25 am. Since it's ridiculously early and won't be able to check into my hotel or do much, I was wondering if Lounge Access is provided on arrival if I'm a QC member? Hoping to kill some time and freshen up and have a bite to eat before I hit the town. :)

There's certainly no mention of arrival lounges on Qantas' site for the Qantas Club. Are you going to b travelling in J too? Or just a QP member.

No, unfortunately I cannot afford to travel in J. :( It would be nice If I was able to kill some time though - can't check in till at least 2pm and my tour's 'basement' (where you can store luggage until you check into the hotel) isn't open until at least 9am, don't wanna be lugging around a suitcase for a few hours!

The BA arrivals lounge was never available to Qantas Club members. Its always been for premium cabin passengers (business or first) who arrive early morning into LHR on a ling-haul (inter-continental) flight.

I am not up to speed with the current entry conditions since T5 became the BA main terminal. The T4 arrivals lounge is now closed, however I believe business or first class passengers arriving on a qualifying flight into T4 can access the T5 arrivals lounge if they can get themselves over to T5 after arriving.

Thanks for clearing that one up. :)

Looks like I may have to figure something out, not a huge problem. At least I know now. :)

T4 arrivals was definitely closed when I was there in late April but there is transport provided by BA once you clear baggage and customs. Just keeping asking they are not easy to find. Arrivals lounge will store your baggage whist you enjoy the FEB and shower.
I was on BA in F and they didn't even mention it there either
