Hi All,

Qantas have released the following fare as advertised on bestflights. Australian Travel Agent : Best Flights - discount travel - Travel Agent Australia

I have a few questions and would be appreciative of any feedback.

I am looking to base travel from three main hubs in the USA - LAX- ORD- NYC. Do you think this fare would permit the following routing? SYD-LAX (no stop)- NYC(stop)- ORD(stop)-LAX(stop)-SYD.

So NYC would be the destination and would not cost me to stop. The others would appear to cost $130 to stop. The deal is being advertised at $1639 plus tax for the time I want to go. Do people think this is a reasonable fare for NYC (if the stops are not permitted or even if they are). I dont really see why I need to pay $135to qantas to stop in LAX when they have to stop there anyway! It is getting closer to the time for me to book and new deals are being released at the moment so I can hang on for a bit longer before booking I guess to see what United release.

Yes, my reading of the info on tghe linked web site would permit SYD-JFK (destination) - ORD (stopover 1 = $135) - LAX (stopover 2 - $135) - SYD.

Note stopovers cost $135 and not $130 as you posted.

The only problem may be that you have to use QF flight numbers (even if operated by AA) and you may have a problem getting JFK-ORD using a QF flight number. You can get from JFK-ORD via YUL (Montreal) but not sure if that is permitted with this particular fare.

The best way to know for sure is to call them and ask.
