Qantas Lounge Invitations - extension?

Newbie question for anyone with more knowledge!

I've read that Qantas will extend a one off lounge invitation expiry date if you have a flight booked within 3 months. If I have a lounge pass expiring, but an upcoming flight to extend the expiring pass to, can I still extend if I also have another pass expiring later than the flight. I'm wondering whether they will say no to extension because there is already a pass available to be linked....or does this not worry them?

Several references by a number of people through a Facebook group thread. I asked the same question there but haven't seen a response.

Yes you’re right. They will see you hv a valid pass and refuse to extend the one that’s expiring. You could temporary transfer the current pass to your partner or friend, then call Qantas FF to extend the one expiring.

Please note that they’re doing it out of goodwill. Their policy still states that passes are not extendable.
