Does anyone know if the big winged roo, has ever served roo in flight?

edit: maybe this should be in playground.

Hi,

I would guess no, but I could be wrong.

As 'roo is an aquired taste I would think QF would skip it as an option.

Kangaroo with plenty of garlic and rosemary, together with a decent Shiraz, is a great main - but it could be a bit tough to saw through with those flimsy white plastic knives. Or maybe it's just the way I cook it ;)

I can't see it being served.

Kangaroo is a very easy meat to overcook and becomes tough quickly. I don't think it would handle the preparation/store/heat stages too well.

As someone who cooks it frequently, I'd second Mal's comments on the roo. A delicious meat, but too many places I've had overcook it and kill the poor thing more than it already was.

Cook it to a medium rare equivalent of meat, and a good mango spice rub on the meat will really send it into space for you.

Cooking class over ;)

Sounds excellent. My one roo experience was with quandong chutney - yum

At ~4% fat it certainly can't be cooked more than medium rare at absolute most! My first kangaroo cooking was going to be accompanied by quandongs, until I discovered they were about $873 per kilo (maybe not that much, but a bleedin' lot)!
