Morning people.

I don't no about you but if your a regular early morning flight cacher with domestic qantas airliner i would need your help with this.

On the qantas website there is time frames with dates. Lets say 2nd of may theres is a plane at 650AM and 750am and so on bne to melb

If i choose the 650AM it gets me to melb at 915AM
Does this actually mean the plane takess off at 650AM or is this when i must get on the plane at 650am and that the plane will not go until 20minutes after ?

-----------
Second question. I know the sun is very distraction first step in the morning specialy for me very annoying, I will be wanting a window seat to see the sea alittle but that wont last long sonce the plane stravels straight line thru inland. Well okies at that time of the day, does the sun reflect thru the window making it hard to view the scenics when in mid air? or will the sun be faceing alittle fuirther away from my viewing window att hat time of the hour which is plane goes 650 and gets to melb around 915 or 930am and wanting good views. ?
-----------

Last question. Last time i actually travel i did a mystery flight to melbourne from brisbane it was quite fun actually and very cheap. I was on the plane at about 620AM i believe or 550am when it took off.. aniways you know the same old time frame it takes aprox 2hours and 25min to get to melb airport (qantas domestic) Now i do recall the sun was reflexting me quite alot very annoying i could see some what views that well at all sometiems good and sometimes deadfull because the sun reflecting the window. But notice something so spectacular.. the window i was looking at had (ice frost) particals when it was about some what 1hour and a half or close to getting around the victoria boarder.. the window had little tiny bits of ice frost and thought it was small particals of ice which was interesting. Now that was around AUG 2001

and because im traveling at 2nd of MAY2008 will i still be seen ice frost small particals on the window? remember im not sure if this has to do with different seasons but may is indeed the last month of autumn but not winter yet. and AUG 2001 was some what spring. So im wondeirng out of an interest will i see ice particals on the window ? If this is a yes then it must be true that melbourne is indeed quite chill when i get there is that a fact ? so if theres no particals of ice flex on the window it means its not a chill morning in melb. I like to understand that :)

thanks everyone.

If the flight is listed in the timetable as 06:50 then 06:50 AM is when the aircraft takes off (or actually its when is starts moving from the gate). You must be at the gate to board the aircraft before this and check in before this. All these times are on your ticket and in the Qantas information.

If would be better if all your questions are in one post instead of starting many new posts.

i'll take a stab at answering this- please let me know if i'm wrong.

1) If it says 6:50am then it means that ideally the plane will depart at this time and boarding will commence around 6:30am. There is usually a bit of a buffer in these flight times so if you happen to depart at 7:00am you'll still arrive ontime if conditions are ok.

2) I'm not a Meteorologist so can't help you too much about what time the sun will rise on this date. If you happen to get the sun glare you will find you'll probably need to have the shade down. Maybe check the web for sunrise/sunset times.

3) With reference to the ice particles this had absolutely nothing to do with how cold Melbourne was. When a plane is flying at high altitude the outside temperature is around -40 to -60 degrees. You will often spot these ice particles at all times- they will defrost as the plane gets closer to landing. Hopefully i've explained it in as non-technical way that I can.. Just remember it has no bearing on the temperature of your destination.

Now if you land and you're covered in ice/snow then completely different story :o

thanks posties and you. Very good information.

So if the plane on the timtable qantas website says 650am bne and arrives in melb at 915am that dosnt mean 650AM is when the plane leaves or it does and there for the annoucement gate would say Qf such a number... please proceed at gate 12 now.. and if i hear that annoucement i suppose it will be 620AM and when i get on the plane the plane does not leave straight away but wait aprox 20minutes is this correct? which leads to 650AM when the plane moves aventualy.

I just forgoten all this because i thought to get on the plane is at 650am since the timetable says it the time frame.. But i gues gotta get in it earlier then 650am so 20minutes before departer at 650am

Correct me if im wrong to that. Just clearly making sure im not the last resort to enter the plane with people looking at me.

------------------------
I understand that now that when you see particul of cristal ice on the window dosnt mean that melbourne is expecting a very chill weather when i get there. I just had the feeling that seen that on the window it reminds me that melbourne is very cold and thats why just before landing 1hour before landing u expect its cold because the window plane was in frost of particul of small tiny of ice. :) Ive learn something new everydays here.

thank you.

May I suggest that as you are making a large amount of posts asking questions that you look at the Qantas website prior to asking these questions. The website is a wealth of information about all things Qantas.

Hope this helps and gives you the information sooner and with no ambiguity.

Thanks posties. Okies got that cleared know about the timetable. I just forgot how the system works thats all.

So if the plane leaves 650AM then i gues i should be in the plane by about 620 or 630AM and wait a few minutes like 20minutes before the doors on the plane close and goes. This mean i have to wake up 430am from brisbane south. Im 30minutes drive to the airport... I would need shower/breakfast/check the weather channel on foxtel if tis anything updated at 5am.. leave at 530 and be at the airport 6am. Because if im not there in time then im the last person to be wondered around clueless.

I know wakeing up 430am just because i wont leave until plane goes 650am can be alittle tricky but same time rediculours specialy wakeing up at 430am just because of that.. Maybe too early yet to wake up at that time who knows.. Im only 30minutes away from it all. Passing the gateway bridge the toll gate bridge. You think tis far too early? it takes me 20minutes to get myself in the shower and get change.. then breakfast watch some update news and weather report incase anything is delay which we all should be doing period before leaving to the airport. Just things i like to keep inform but i think its just abit silly to wake up at 430am who knows :) i gues its all just the excitement about it really.. Not because of the plane but because of the whole trip am looking forward to it all.

I remember when i did the Mystery flight to melb from brisbane and the plane was to leave some what 550am and i and my love friend woke up at 3am just for the fun of it all to be ready to shower get change breakfast abit of exercies and lets go. But again it was just abit silly to have woken up so early just for an early flight which didnt go until 550am :) I dont no about you guys and girls but im sure some of you would truely understand the reason why sleep less because the excitement on getting the plane soon. :) Dont you feel that way sometimes or ever?

ALL OF THE INFORAMTION ABOUT DEPARTURE TIMES IS ON THE QANTAS WEBSITE. AS I STATED EARLIER SPEND SOME TIME ON THEIR SITE AND IT WILL TELL YOU ABOUT "GETTING AWAY ON TIME"

As for what time to wake up and how long it will take you to get there, that is something only you can determine as only you know where you live and how long it takes you to get ready so dont bother asking others these questions.

BEST THAT YOU GET A SPELL CHECK AS WELL. Or beeast thart yuo get a spel chec as well.
