Qantas OWA Ticketing Questions

I managed to book a OWA itinerary for November/December of 2023. However, on the last step of the booking process (POLI), I ran into an error and the website crashed. Checking my bank account I see that I was already charged the taxes/fees I owed, and the flights show up under my Qantas account (as well as under the 'Manage by Booking' for partner airlines). However, I have not yet received any email confirmation, nor have the points been deducted from my account.

To be extra cautious, I called up Qantas to ask whether this would be an issue. I was informed that there was nothing wrong with my booking and that it was simply in the 'queue' to be processed, and to wait since it is still a fair bit of time away.

My questions are:
1. Are there any concerns of getting my booking cancelled at this stage? Should I be calling up Qantas to get this itinerary ticketed or is there nothing to worry about here?
2. I also realised that nowhere in the booking process was I asked to enter my passport (nor my partners passport, who I also booked for). Is this normal? I recall usually needing to enter my passport when booking international flights.

TIA ! :)

Perhaps not - how long has it been since you booked? You should normally get it within 24 hours if everything went okay in the automatic system. If it's been pushed to a manual ticketing queue, who knows... could be soon, could be never (which is bad as your flights will get cancelled).

What airlines are involved besides Qantas? This can affect how concerned you need to be about following up the ticketing issues promptly, although it's very difficult to get the call centre to understand the problem and actually do anything about it, unless you are able to reach the Hobart call centre.

Are you flying through the USA at any point in your itinerary? If so, you will need to fix that up before the ticket can be issued. You can do it through the Manage My Booking page on the Qantas web site. If not traveling via the USA, this is okay and you can add the passport details later.

re Passport info.. in MNB look for "Enter APIS info" option. That is where one puts passport info in.

I booked earlier today, so around ~8 hours. There are no Qantas flights in my itinerary. I currently have JAL, BA and AY. I will try and follow up again if I don't hear back tomorrow.
