The main benefit to anyone who already has lounge access is the ability to earn status credits on classic reward flights, which can help in keeping status (if you want to).
Id need to earn 35k in 6 weeks to keep points club, that's not feasible especially since I've just had to cancel a hotel stay that would have had serious bonus points. So i will drop out but aim to earn it back via a credit card churn, red energy sign-up and normal send by mid August, just in time to earn SCs on that next reward flight.
