Qantas Premier Credit Card

Has anyone received the QantasWine $50 off voucher? According to T&C it should have been sent to me within 30 days of approval. I rang the help center and they will 'ring me back' with an outcome.
I've checked my spam folder and it's not there.
Yes. Received last week.

Why not ?

This is now well off topic, so I'll end the discussion by suggesting once again that you read the correct thread where this is being discussed and note that I have already stated the following:

'nor should they have based on the terms of that offer'

All smooth sailing so far. 20,000 bonus points have posted each month for the last2 months. Just waiting for the 10,000 additional points from Qantas and then I'll be cancelling this card. Good to have some free points for a change :)

Not happy!

Got my statement and there is a charge for interest. Not possible, I pay it off in full within 48 hours.

It says Cash Advance, again not possible I've never used it for a cash advance. So I call them and eventually get to speak to a real person. She said I had a cash advance on the first day of my statement and named the merchant. I remembered the transaction and knew I pushed the credit button.

Oh ok, it was another transaction in September with QBE (travel) insurance, they processed it as a cash advance. I don't believe it and will follow up with QBE.

However, my next question was: "how can I avoid interest if the charge isn't shown on the statement?" I.e. if I pay my statement in full why am I being charged interest? She couldn't answer me and I still don't understand.

I pay it off in full within 48 hours of receipt of my statement so don't see how there can ever be any interest.

Any thoughts or comments?

There would be interest charged on those 2 days?

Edit: For cash advances, that is.

Citibank strikes again!

My advice is not to waste your time on the phone. Put all of your concerns in writing. State very clearly what you want to happen. If your requests are reasonable and they don't respond favourably then go to AFCA (new version of FOS).

I spent far too much time trying to deal with Citibank in the past. There's a reason that they are on my banned list!

Have just received a call from the person I originally spoke to about this matter. She said she had followed up because of my confusion and identified the transaction that was processed as a cash transaction (not mentioned previously, and entirely possible) on the same day as the first transaction mentioned.

She assured me that the interest was paid in full and that I would receive an extra 500 QFF points.

If there is no further interest charges and the points come through the matter will be considered resolved by myself.

I am an existing cardholder and just received this email

It's a triple points party!

Dear,
CAL-490_spacer.png

It's a great time to be a Qantas Premier Platinum Credit Card cardholder because we're giving you triple Qantas Points1 on your spend.
CAL-490_spacer.png

That's right - eligible purchases on your Qantas Premier Platinum Credit Card between 17 November 2018 and 17 December 2018 will earn you triple Qantas Points1.

The max extra points is capped at 10000

Wonder how they decide what offer to provide, is it based on spend? I haven't used my card at all for the last 1.5 months (sitting on $0 balance).

I received - Double points and 0% interest on new purchases from 17 November 2018 and 17 February 2019.

Anyone had experience being able to negotiate the fee on this one. Im about to hit renewal, quite like the card but can't justify the fee so considering cancelling or transfer to the Everyday, but ideal would be to keep the card at a reduced fee.

Any experiences people can share?
